BIOGRAPHY: |
Chris was born on March 21st 2357, in Ft Lauderdale, Florida to Lieutenant Frank Henshaw and his wife Jane. While growing up Chris spent most of his time with his brother playing sports, mainly basketball and Football, and through his brother he started listening to rap and hip hop, which didn't sit well with his mother as she believed the music was a bad influence on him. A few years later Chris's brother Steven left to enrol at Starfleet Academy, and Chris was invited to go onboard the USS Valiant as a civilian to stay with his father. It was because of spending the time onboard the Valiant, and then later the Goliath that Chris developed an interest in Starfleet, or more specifically Engineering. In 2375, he enrolled in Starfleet Academy, working and studying in the Tucker Centre. His academy career was plagued with negatives, or at least according to his Academy Lecturers. His assignments were rarely in on time, and rarely lived up to the full potential that he showed. Much of his time was spent taking parts in the other activities that he enjoyed, particularly writing music. He also spent a great deal of time playing on the Academy Basketball team, taking part in tournaments, and travelling the quadrant representing the Academy. After spending a year aboard the USS Moriarty as part of his training cruise, he graduated from SFA and decided to remain on board serving in the Engineering department. His brother also served on the Moriarty as a Security/Tactical Officer. As an Ensign, his responsibilities were limited, but he always tried to show what he could do. However, when ever a major task fell to him, he never put his full attention to it, still writing his music and playing sports. In Early 2382, the ships Chief Engineer recommended a reassignment for him, as he no longer wanted him in his engine room. Eventually he was picked up by the Engineering Staff of the USS Montana, and received a promotion to Lieutenant (JG). |
